Bridgeport police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man on East Main Street, the city's third homicide in as many days. Police say the shooting happened earlier today on the street's 500 block, and that they are trying to determine whether it is related to two separate shootings from Saturday. Witnesses to this afternoon's murder say they heard several rounds of gunfire, then noticed a man lying on the sidewalk. Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch says he will soon announce a citywide plan to curb the violence. The City Council is also scheduled to vote next month on a youth curfew.
