Stamford woman accused of leaving baby in car denies wrongdoing
The Stamford mother arrested for allegedly leaving her baby in a hot car denies she put her son in harm's way.
The mother, Michelle Aboulliat, claims she never lost sight of her car when she went inside the Citibank branch on Broad Street. Police say those claims are impossible because the 31-year-old parked 75 yards away on Franklin Street.
Aboulliat says she did not want to wake the 7-month-old boy, so she locked the car and left the windows open. The mom says she was gone for about five minutes.
She has been charged with risk of injury to a child. The case has since been referred to the Department of Children and Families.
