Convicted killer can't represent himself

A judge has ruled a man convicted of murdering three people in Bridgeport can't represent himself during the penalty phase of his trial.
A jury will determine if Richard Roszkowski should be put to death.
He was convicted of fatally shooting a man, a woman and her 9-year-old daughter on Seaview Avenue in September 2006.
Roszkowski was deemed competent to stand trial in April, but a judge yesterday ruled he can't defend himself because of mental illness.
He was previously sentenced to death for the crime but a judge threw out that original sentence on appeal.
