Norwalk schools search for new superintendent
The Norwalk School District is now searching for a new superintendent after Dr. Susan Marks announced Friday she would be resigning from her job.
Her announcement came days after the district voted on a new spending plan that would include staffing cuts at schools. Dr. Marks had been superintendent for two years, and parents and fellow Board of Education members say she will be difficult to replace.
Dr. Marks' last day is Aug. 17 and until then, she will help the Board of Education find an interim superintendent.
Dr. Marks cited "personal reasons" as the reason she was leaving.
