Investigators say 29-year-old Ines Franco was riding with two other motorcyclists when one of them got a flat tire. All three were riding on the right shoulder when Franco was suddenly struck by a passing car and thrown from her bike. Police say she died instantly. The driver of the car that hit Franco was not injured. Police say a third car that was involved in the crash was carrying a mother and her two children, but they were also unharmed.
