Historic Westport church to be rebuilt, renovated after fire

Wesport's historic Saugatuck Congressional Church will be rebuilt and renovated in the wake of a fire that destroyed portions of the building.In addition to bringing the building up to code, the congregation plans to add a new two-story entrance to the back of the church.The whole congregation, as well as the town, must approve the plans, and officials say the construction would not be finished for about two years.The congregation will continue to hold services in various locations while the building is being repaired.Authorities investigate Westport church fireVIDEO: Westport church fire
