Tow trucks were busy in Bridgeport removing dozens of cars parked on Dewey Street, and Cleveland, Jackson and McKinley avenues overnight.
Signs posted in the area say parking is not allowed on those street today or tomorrow because of paving work.
Officers say they went door to door asking people to move their cars or they would get towed.
