Bridgeport officials prepping for Hurricane Sandy
Bridgeport officials are preparing for Hurricane Sandy and warning residents that coastal evacuations may be necessary. Emergency management teams met this afternoon as the storm veers toward the East Coast. Scott Appleby, the city's emergency operations director, says people should start making evacuation plans now just in case Connecticut suffers a direct hit. As of today, officials say the storm could arrive Monday, which is also the one-year anniversary of last year's powerful snowstorm.
