A new poll by Quinnipiac University says Democrat Chris Murphy is leading Republican Linda McMahon 49 to 43 percent in the race for Senate.
The poll shows that Murphy has gained ground with women and older voters.
A total of 62 percent of voters surveyed say they have an unfavorable opinion of this Senate race in general.
