Bridgeport church raises money to fight drug addiction

Parishioners of a Bridgeport church raised money Saturday to help fight drug addiction.

Universal Church Kingdom of God on North Avenue held a tag sale to buy text books for its anti-drug program.

Organizers say they hope to build awareness about the dangers children face from peer pressure.

A special church service is expected to be held Sunday that is devoted to helping people battle addiction.
