Judge rules against tow truck fleet in Stratford
Some residents in Stratford are celebrating Sunday after winning a lawsuit against AAA and town hall.
As News 12 reported, residents were against a proposal to build a tow truck fleet center in an area that is not zoned for industrial use.
"Tow trucks starting at six in the morning," says resident Scott Farrington-Posner. "Anywhere from 40 to 50 trucks. We're talking trucks, loud engines, diesel fumes."
A judge ruled against the plan Sunday.
Farrington-Posner says the facility would have sat between 10 homes and severely disrupted the neighborhood.
Community residents say they are happy the judge ruled in their favor, but now say they want something put on the vacant lot that would benefit everyone.
