DMV announces changes to improve customer service

The state Department of Motor Vehicles says major changes are coming to improve customer service.



The DMV has been plagued with issues partly because of a computer system upgrade launched last summer.



Officials say the changes will include consolidating all customer phone lines into a single, streamlined service and improving training for some employees.



The commissioner says they also created a management team to oversee agency projects, such as the online registration system.
