3 honored for saving man's life in Orange

Three people were honored in Orange Saturday, one year after officials say they saved a man's life.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal recognized a registered nurse, a police lieutenant and a resident for giving CPR to a 68-year-old runner from West Haven.
The incident occurred at last year's Peck Place Panther Pounce 5K at the High Plains Community Center. Before performing CPR, officials say the three used a mobile defibrillator to restart the man's heart.
"Very grateful that I was there at the right time and that early on in, I had received training for CPR," said Bill Chizmadia, a resident of Orange who was honored.
Blumenthal said Max Martine, Cheryl Mingione and Chizmadia all set an example for everyone with their heroism.
