Metro-North train service delayed due to fire under tracks
(AP) -- Train service into and out of Grand Central has been suspended due to a fire at a construction site under the elevated Metro-North tracks in East Harlem.
Fire officials say the 4-alarm blaze involved construction debris and several trailers.
It was reported just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at East 119th Street and Park Avenue. There have been no injuries.
A Metro-North spokeswoman says structural engineers were at the site to assess any damage to the rails.
