Firefighters: Newtown house fire likely case of arson

Firefighters say a massive raging fire that gutted a vacant mansion in Newtown was most likely arson.

The Stony Hill Fire Department tweeted pictures of the scene on Castle Hill Road yesterday.

The 12,000-square foot house dates back to 1908 and had been appraised at more than $1.5 million.

Firefighters say the home had been boarded up for some time, and there was no electricity.
