Friends and family gathered in Bridgeport today for final farewells to the man struck and killed in Waterbury last weekend.
A funeral was held at St. Mary's Church for Melvin Gordils.
Police say the 26-year-old was walking along the ramp connecting Route 8 to I-84 when he was hit by two cars early Saturday morning.
Police say they do not know why Gordils was walking on the road.
