Police trying to identify unconscious man lying on Route 8
State police are asking for the public's help this morning identifying a man who was found unconscious on the side of Route 8 in Bridgeport.
Police say the man was found on the southbound side of the highway, near exit 2 at the start of rush hour Monday morning.
Investigators believe he fell from the Washington Avenue overpass and say he's now in the hospital.
Troopers say they're still working on figuring out who he is because he was not carrying ID.
The man is described as an African American with "salt and pepper" thinning hair as well as a gray moustache and beard.
They say he's between 45 and 60 years old, about 5'10" and about 230 pounds.
If you think you know him, you're asked to contact police.
