Ex-Danbury teacher accused of sexual assault due in court this week

A trial for a former Danbury High School teacher charged with sexually assaulting one of her students is set to start this week.



Kayla Mooney has pleaded not guilty.



Police say the 25-year old complained to school officials that she was being harassed by the girlfriend of the boy police say she sexually assaulted.



Police say the boy told them about the relationship, and Mooney was arrested in March.
