Employees who were laid off from Norwalk Hospital last month held a party Wednesday to say goodbye to their colleagues.
Nurses and doctors got together at Sedona Taphouse on West Avenue to say goodbye to their former co-workers and wish each other good luck in the future.
Hospital officials say a $1 million per week hospital tax is part of the reason for those cuts. They would not tell News 12 how many people were laid off.
Hospital officials did say some management positions were eliminated. They say the layoffs were difficult, but they say their new organization reflects a more contemporary model.
