Funeral being held for man killed in hit-and-run

Family and friends said their final goodbyes today to a Bridgeport man who was killed over the weekend in a hit-and-run.

Police say the hit-and-run happened Saturday night on Arlington Street near Madison Terrace.

They say 81-year-old Gaspar Esteves had just gotten out of his parked car when he was struck, and the driver never stopped.

A funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Huntington Road.

Police continue to search for the driver and urge anyone with information to call them.
