Bridgeport woman facing drug, gun charges

Bridgeport police say a woman is facing multiple charges for selling illegal drugs and guns near Harding High School.

Authorities say they arrested Miriam Cotto Almourtada, 49, at her home on Bell Street Wednesday.

Police say they seized more than 1,000 pills of various types, five semi-automatic handguns, two revolvers, three long rifles, numerous rounds of ammunition, and more than $500 in cash.

Police say Almourtada also had a child in her custody, so they informed the Department of Children and Families.
