Man on death row resentenced to life for Cheshire home invasion
A judge Tuesday resentenced one of the two men responsible in the 2007 Cheshire home invasion murders to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
As News 12 reported, Joshua Komisarjevsky and Steven Hayes murdered Jennifer Hawke Pettite and her two daughters by burning down their house following a home invasion.
Both men were sentenced to death, but the state Supreme Court later ruled the state's repeal of the death penalty must also apply to the men on death row before the law was passed.
Hayes was resentenced last month.
