Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Bridgeport that left a pedestrian dead.
The incident happened Tuesday night on North Avenue near Lindley Street.
Police say the driver was heading northbound on Lindley Street around 9 p.m. when the driver struck multiple vehicles and the pedestrian.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately released.
Police Chief AJ Perez called what happened a tragic incident.
