Man shot in Bridgeport while riding motorcycle

(AP) - Bridgeport police say a 34-year-old man has become the city's ninth homicide after being shot to death.

Police say Hector Colon died from a gunshot wound Sunday morning. Police say he was apparently riding a stolen motorcycle when he was shot around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Police say they first received a report about a motorcycle accident at Stratford and Hollister avenues.

When emergency personnel arrived in an ambulance they found Colon lying on the ground next to the motorcycle "bleeding profusely."

They discovered Colon had been shot.
