Police probe fatal Easton police shooting

A major investigation is under way Monday after a shooting left one man dead and two police officers injured in Easton.

Police say officers were met with gunfire Sunday afternoon when they knocked on the door at 91 Dogwood Drive to serve a search warrant for drug paraphernalia. Authorities say a police officer shot and killed Gonzalo Guizan, of Norwalk, during the shooting.

Easton Police Chief Jack Solomon admits this wasn?t the first time officers encountered a problem at the house.

Two officers, from Monroe and Trumbull, were treated and released.

State police investigators are still gathering evidence from the scene.
