Man shot at Stamford motel with history of trouble
A man was shot Saturday morning at the Stamford Motor Lodge, the latest violent act to take place at the troubled motel.
Police say the victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. No arrests have yet been made.
Phil Celentano, who lives close to the motel, says Stamford Motor Lodge's reputation precedes it.
"This is one of the cheaper motels in Stamford, and it's known for partying ? that's the problem," he says.
Two months ago, police were called to respond to a stabbing there. Police say they're called to that hotel more than any other in the city.
The motel is considering hiring a night-time security guard.
