Police are hoping peers of a Fairfield teenager found dead from a gunshot to the head can shed some light on the tragic incident.
Suicide has been ruled out in the death of Kyle Scheider, 17, who was found dead at a house he shared with his father Thursday. Police say homicides are rare in Fairfield and this was not a random crime.
Authorities are hoping fellow teenagers may have an idea as to who would want to hurt Scheider.
"We're looking at Kyle's associates and friends and others to come forward with any information that they can provide that could help us determine a motive," says Capt. Gary MacNamara, of the Fairfield Police Department. "From a motive, maybe we could focus into a suspect."
Meanwhile, friends and family of the teenager continue to grieve his death. More than 50 people have joined a tribute group for Scheider created on the social networking Web site Facebook.
