A rash of weekend tire slashings has Stamford police searching for vandals.
Authorities say at least 73 cars throughout various city neighborhoods were damaged Saturday night. Most of the cars that were hit were downtown, but others were reported in the High Ridge and Glenbrook neighborhoods.
The Toy Shop of Connecticut, which sells used cars, was hit hard by the suspects. The owner says there was about $5,000 worth of damage done to his cars.
Stamford police say it?s uncommon to see dozens of tire slashings in one night. In all, the vandals hit cars on 13 different streets. Police are now reviewing some surveillance video from one of the locations and have a description of the suspects. Authorities say it appears to be the work of a couple of teens on bikes.
