A 20-year-old woman is dead after a car crash Thursday in Milford.Police say the accident happened around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Buckingham and New Haven avenues. According to police, Jill Cowperthwaite, of Milford, lost control of her car after hitting a utility pole and smashed into some parked cars.Officials say Cowperthwaite was pronounced dead at Yale-New Haven Hospital.Police say three passengers were also taken to the hospital. Their conditions have not been released yet.Officials say they are still trying to determine what caused the fatal crash.
