Vandals target homes in section of Weston

Police in Weston are looking for the vandals who caused thousands of dollars in damage to several homes.

Authorities believe the vandalism wasn?t random. Detective Carl Filsinger says the homes, located in the Hemlock Ridge neighborhood, were targeted.

According to police, the vandalism took place Saturday night into Sunday morning. Police say the vandals used an ax to break mailboxes and lights, smash up pool equipment and even attempt to cut down a tree.

The Hemlock Ridge neighborhood was also the scene of similar vandalism incidents in October of 2007.
