Three-hundred displaced students from Hamilton Avenue School are settling into new classrooms this week at six schools across Greenwich.

Hamilton Avenue School was closed more than two years ago after mold was found. Students were moved to modular classrooms nearby, but mold was discovered there too just over a week ago. Students were given a week off until the board of education could come up with a plan.

The board decided to split the students up among six other schools in town, where they'll remain for the rest of the academic year.

School Superintendent Dr. Betty Sternberg said that the original Hamilton Avenue School should be ready to welcome its students back in September.
