Shoppers take advantage of Presidents Day sales
Though the economy is considered by some to be "sour," retailers still offered discounts Monday in hopes of luring in business on Presidents Day.
A lot of stores, including those at the Connecticut Post Mall, offered big discounts for the holiday, however, car dealerships say they expect to see the most shopping.
The Key Hyundai car dealership in Milford has been gearing up for the holiday since the end of the Christmas shopping season. Owner Larry Merriam says Presidents Day is the kickoff to the annual automobile selling season. He adds that even with the economy in poor shape, people will still come in and buy a vehicle.
