Downed power lines temporarily suspend Metro-North
Downed power lines temporarily shut down Metro-North service during the morning commute Thursday.
Train service from New Haven to South Norwalk was suspended in both directions for most of the morning. While service was suspended, riders were advised to go to South Norwalk or Stamford to catch trains into Manhattan.
Officials say a train that got stuck in Bridgeport pulled down the power lines.
Metro-North trains were back up and running in both directions around 10:30.
