Suspected TN murder suspect arrested in Bridgeport

A fugitive and suspected murderer from Tennessee was arrested in Bridgeport Tuesday night.

Police in LaVergne, Tennessee believe Mario Morgan, 31, fled to Bridgeport after he murdered his girlfriend, Nikki Sisounong, 34. Police say Morgan graduated from Bridgeport?s Bassick High and his mother and siblings live there.

A fugitive task force worked with officers from Bridgeport, Trumbull and Stratford to set up surveillance at two locations. They arrested Morgan at a home on Lee Avenue.

Police in Tennessee say Morgan confessed to Bridgeport police that he murdered his girlfriend. They also say he disclosed the location of the woman?s body.

Specific paperwork must be completed before Morgan is brought back to Tennessee to face charges. He?ll be back in a Bridgeport courtroom on Dec. 5.
