Stamford police have taken a man into custody for a drive-by shooting on the city's south end Monday evening.

Authorities will not divulge details about the suspect's identity, but they say witnesses described the white Chevy used as a getaway vehicle. The car's description, coupled with fingerprint evidence and shell casings, led to the suspect's capture.

A second suspect is still being sought. Police believe the drive-by may be drug- or gang-related.

Officials say they are investigating several leads to catch the second suspect.
