Police probe attempted abduction in Darien
Some Darien parents say they are worried after a possible attempted abduction on a residential street.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Thursday on Holmes Avenue. Police say a 10-year-old girl was walking her dog down the street when two men began running after her. The girl ran home and told her mother what happened. However, when police arrived, the men were gone.
The girl reported that the two men had been in a pickup truck and were talking to a third person in a van. According to police, the truck was silver and the male driver wore a red shirt while the male passenger had on a yellow shirt. As for the van, police say it was tan and had dull paint.
