Police search for driver in Stamford hit-and-run

State police are searching for the driver responsible for an accident in Stamford that left three people in serious condition.

Police say a Toyota minivan was traveling in the right lane of I-95 southbound Thursday when a second vehicle hit the minivan from behind, causing the driver to lose control and strike the median.

The man and two children in the minivan are listed in serious condition. They are identified as Andre Joseph, Brendan Pierre and Samantha Pierre.

While one witness described the vehicle responsible as a green SUV, others said it was a dark-colored pickup truck. Police are searching for the vehicle and anyone with information is urged to call state police at 203-696-2500.
