Red Cross needs donations in wake of Bridgeport fires
The Red Cross is asking for the public?s help in order to assist families left homeless after two recent fires in Bridgeport.
According to Red Cross officials, about 42 people were left homeless by a raging apartment fire on Stillman Street over the weekend.
More than a dozen people were also forced out on the street after a fire recently tore through a Marion Street home.
Workers at the Red Cross' Mid-Fairfield County Chapter say even if there are no resources, the organization never denies assistance to those in need. However, the organization is way over budget and claims it needs the public's help.
