Police are searching for two men who robbed Stratford and Bridgeport eateries within an hour of each other Monday night.

Police say two armed robbers tried to hold up a Subway restaurant in Bridgeport at the corner of Wood and Park avenues. According to police, the owner refused to give the men money and chased them out. Investigators say men fitting the same description robbed East Main Deli in Stratford about 30 minutes later.

East Main Deli owner Gino Kosajain says surveillance video shows the men taking more than $600. Kosajain's wife, Mary, says she no longer feels safe in Stratford.
