Southwestern CT municipal officials urge commuters to stay off roadways
Municipal officials around southwestern Connecticut are asking drivers to stay off the roads Wednesday evening, if possible. Snow plow crews in Redding say the wintry mix is making things complicated. They say their priority now is not to plow, instead they say it is more important to sand and salt the roads to keep them from freezing.Crewmembers say they will continue to work throughout the night and into Thursday morning. They say they are hoping for a clean morning commute.
