The Connecticut Citizens Transportation Lobby laid out its plan Wednesday to solve the state?s biggest transportation woes.In the past two years, the state has allocated $3.6 billion for commerce projects in an effort to ease congestion and improve transportation. However, lobbyists argue more has to be done. Officials met Wednesday at the Capitol to discuss transit ideas, including a plan to expand mass transit capacity and incentives for mass transit users. The plan would also increase freight transit on rail lines and initiate surveys on all state roads and bridges to determine maintenance needs.Dozens of residents joined officials at the Capitol to voice their opinions. Officials agree that transportation remains a key issue for the state of Connecticut.
