Greenwich police, selectman feud becomes sticky situation
FLASH stickers are popping up on cars in Greenwich, but some say it could be a sign of insubordination.
The Greenwich police union says the stickers refer to its on-going battle with First Selectman Jim Lash. However, the union says it didn?t make the stickers. The head of the union says a grassroots political organization, Friends of Law Enforcement Against Selectman Harassment (FLASH), made the stickers and dropped them off at police headquarters.
According to the head of the union, the stickers were sparked by the latest feud between Lash and police about where police can and cannot park their cars. Lash has reportedly said that if the intent of the stickers is obscene, then it would be insubordination.
