An 11-year-old girl from Weston will be attending the Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony after she was nominated for her role in the PBS show "Peg and Cat."
Fifth-grader Hailey Faith Negrin will be the youngest Daytime Emmy nominee this year. She's the voice of Peg in the hit children's show.
"I started realizing that this is big news and I started screaming and I was really excited," Negrin told News 12. She even named her new dog Emmy.
The show revolves around the two characters that seek out adventures and use their math skills to solve problems.
Along with her voiceover work, Hailey Faith is an aspiring actress, musician and dancer. Apart from show business, she likes to play lacrosse and basketball and hang out with her friends.
The Daytime Emmy Awards will be held on June 22.
