Metro-North resumes after suspicious package found near Fairfield Train Station
Metro-North service has resumed in Fairfield following the discovery of a suspicious package that turned out to be a school project.
Police say it was built at Tomlinson Middle School and was left there by a student who intended to retrieve it.
Service was suspended for about two hours while police investigated.
Trains are now running on schedule.
