Police: 2 arrests, 2 stabbings after crowd dispersed outside La Torche Night Club in South Norwalk
About 500 people were cleared from a South Norwalk parking lot after police were called about a disturbance.
Police say a fight inside La Torche Night Club on Washington Street spilled out into the lot at around 2 a.m.
News 12 was told security inside the club broke up the fight and used pepper spray to disperse the crowd. Police say people at the club refused to leave and complained about what had happened.
Police say officers from Stamford, Darien, Westport, New Canaan and state police were called out to help them clear the crowd.
Stanley Bruno was arrested for allegedly elbowing an officer in the eye and punching another in the face after police told him to leave the lot. Police also arrested Christopher Bautista, 26, a passenger in Bruno's truck. Bautista allegedly refused to leave and had marijuana on him at the time of his arrest.
News 12 was told there were two separate stabbings that occurred around the corner from La Torche at the same time authorities were handling the parking lot incident.
The first occurred in the back of Famous Pizza on North Main. Police say a man told them he was stabbed twice by a group of men, after he told them to stop harassing women outside a bar. Police say he took himself to Norwalk Hospital.
The other stabbing happened close to police headquarters. Police say a man told them a group attacked him for no reason.
Police say he had three cut wounds on his back and was treated at the hospital.
