Tom Foley slams governor Malloy's tax increase after winning GOP nod

Republican nominee for governor Tom Foley slammed Gov. Dannel Malloy following his primary victory.

During a news conference, Foley said spending under Malloy has gone up twice as much as the growth in the economy. He also slammed Malloy's tax increase.

Foley said Connecticut has to become a place where employees want to invest and grow their businesses. He promised to leverage his business experience to decrease taxes.

Foley was also the GOP candidate in 2010, when he lost a close election to Malloy. The two will now face off again in November's general election.
