Fire damages Garden Catering in Greenwich

Greenwich fire officials are investigating a fire at a restaurant overnight.

Calls started coming in to 911 around midnight about smoke coming out of Garden Catering on Huntington Avenue.

Fire officials say the fire started in the prep kitchen when no one was in the building.

The restaurant says it will take a few weeks to a few months to repair the damage before they can reopen. The business to the left side of it has also been affected due to the extension of some smoke and the power had to be cut to the whole building.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
