Extreme cold hits southwestern Connecticut
Today will feature the coldest temperatures this season yet with single digits in the morning.
The winds will change direction today which helps brings temperatures up to a high of 22 degrees today. 
The wind chills will still be strong between -10 and 0 degrees with gusts up to 25 mph. The winds will calm to 5-10 mph by this evening with some increasing clouds. 
Tonight's low is 18. 
Tomorrow a cold front arrives in the morning and brings snow showers to the area. We should see a coating to an inch possible by the time the storm moves out in the early afternoon. Skies clear after the storm, and temperatures will dip back down into the teens.
