Police: 3 men arrested after drugs, guns found in car
Officials say three men were arrested after being found with drugs and several guns Thursday night on Bouton Street in Norwalk.
Police officers say they were patrolling the neighborhood when they smelled marijuana coming from the suspects' car. They say the car then drove away, which led to a police chase that ended at the intersection of Bouton Street and Robins Square East.
Authorities say one of the suspects jumped out of the backseat of the car and ran away. They say they are still looking for that suspect.
Officials say they arrested 25-year-old Dante Paulk, 22-year-old Shakiem Powell and 21-year-old driver Sean Sellers.
They say they searched the car and seized drugs, guns and several rounds of ammunition.
"Officers located a high-capacity magazine in the area of the driver's seat," said Sgt. Sofia Gulino of the Norwalk Police Department. "Further search led to a .40 caliber handgun located right next to where a high-capacity magazine was found and a second 9 mm.”
The three suspects were arraigned Friday afternoon and will reappear in court on May 18.
