A Bridgeport woman who jumped in front of a speeding car to save a child's life got a very special surprise Saturday.
The Orcutt Boys and Girls Club has awarded two free scholarships for their summer camp program to the sons of Shanta Jordan.
As News 12 has reported, Jordan was injured after jumping in front of a speeding car to save the life of another young boy, whom she had never even met.

She says due to the medical bills from her injuries, she was not going to be able to send the boys to camp this summer.
Orcutt Boys and Girls Club, Director Bob Keeley agreed to let her boys, 10-year-old Sheldon and 6-year-old Aiden, attend at no charge.
He say it is a way of saying thank you for her heroism.
Doctors say Jordan absorbed much of the car's impact and spared the child almost certain death.
